Patras Guitar Duo

    Andronikos Karamperis and Christos Tsarouchis started their guitar studies at an early age with P. Kydoniatis at Philippos Nakas Conservatory in Patras. Upon graduation they proceeded to the "Athenaeum" Conservatory in Athens where with the guidance of Lisa Zoi, they completed their diploma musical studies. All this time, they kept enriching their musical knowledge by attending numerous seminars and master classes by greek and foreign guitarists (R. Dyens, D. Russell, M. Dylla, J. Mills, S. Vlaskalic, J. Willard, E. Asimakopoulos, L. Zoi).

   

    They have both given solo guitar recitals in various cities of Greece and have appeared in many chamber music concerts as a duet with flute, violin, guitar, accordion, voice, etc. They have collaborated as soloists with the Plucked String Orchestra of the Municipality Of Patras as well as with the Athenian Mandolinata Nik. Lavdas.

    In 2012 they created the Patras Guitar Duo working together on a technically and interpretatively demanding repertoire, giving concerts in various Greek cities (Athens, Patras, Lefkada, Amaliada, Loutraki, Rhodes etc.) and in Festivals and Concert Series (Festival Guitars E. Asimakopoulou-L. Zoi, All That Guitar - Loutraki Guitar Festival, Rhodes International Guitar Festival, Musical May of the Philharmoniki Foundation Conservatory of Patras, Podium of Young Artists, etc.). During their performances, they have received the most favorable comments from both public and experts.

        Andronikos Karamperis and Christos Tsarouhis graduated from the University of Patras - Department of Geology and Department of Economics respectively - and they both teach classical guitar at Philharmoniki Foundation Conservatory of Patras.
